Eternal Beauty FAQs
What is the difference between the different techniques? I don't know which to pick!
Each client which we treat at the clinic will have a complete consultation which is all about you and your wishes. Depending on your hopes for the finished look will depict which treatment is carried out. Generally though, microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine. The procedure is done by using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and each 'hair' is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Digital Brows or Hairstroke style is carried our using our state of the art 'Indelibeliner' machine and allows for a slightly deeper penetration of pigments in the skin. The look is similar but microblading is a finer hair stroke as a rule.
Each technique can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrow hair and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows, or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over tweezed brows. Pigments used are chosen to match the desired brow Colour and skin tone will also be taken into consideration.
How long does it take?
For the first of any of the sessions, the entire procedure can take up to 3 hours. During this session, I will shape and style your brows for approval, and we NEVER complete a treatment unless you are 100% confident in it. If you are at all uncertain I will ask you to consider the brows which I have drawn on and sleep on it. Assuming you are thrilled with the look we will follow with pigment colour selection- all of my pigments are vegan and of the highest quality and 'Indelibliner' branded. We will only then go ahead if you are comfortable and happy with our selections personally chosen and mixed for you.
Every semi permanent make up session should be thought of as at least a 2 step treatment- the first part is to apply the base, and the second part is for finishing touches. The top up is essential and must be completed within no more than 12 weeks from the first sitting.
How long does it take to heal?
The eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure and colour will likely appear very dark. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The colour will fade by up to 40% as it heals. In the following days, the eyebrows will continue to be dark and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the treated area. The eyebrows will lighten up in colour as it heals. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to initially heal over, and about 1 month for the colour to fully set in and settle. You may notice the colour appears very light or 'disappears' during the healing process- This is common and isn't permanent! This is due to the the tissue still healing from the inside out even though the surface of the skin is healed. True colour will reveal itself once healed.
Is the touch up session necessary?
Yes! A touch up session after 4 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment colour may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the colour for as long as possible.
Is it painful?
The pain level for the procedure is considered mild but does feel rather sensitive to some. Prior to the procedure you can apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area (which we will discuss as part of the pre treatment consultation) and we will do as much as possible to keep you in complete comfort.
What Are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.
How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions last?
When applied by a professional, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.
